Our MBE and MEE flashcards are currently updated for the remaining 2020 exams. We update our cards before each exam cycle and have done so again this year. Some changes are substantive legal changes, while others are to improve wording and clarity. Substantive changes are made based on changes in the law as well as changes announced by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE).
We usually release February cards in late September, but we anticipate that will be knocked out to early October given the rescheduled July exams.
In terms of using the current version of the cards for the July 2021 exam, what we usually tell students is this - if you'll actually use the cards now, the benefit of having them now and getting a head start is worth buying them now. If you're not going to actually use the cards until March or April, it's best to wait.
In terms of updates, keep in mind that all purchases come with free access to our mobile app, which always is updated with the most recent content updates. So even if you purchase now and a couple of cards change, the changes will be reflected in the app, which you'll have access to for a calendar year from your date of purchase.
